Context
Why brand design matters
Bad design costs customers. A confusing interface, haphazard brand guidelines, visuals that do not match: all of it wears down trust before you have even had a chance to speak.
What we hear
What we hear about brands
Your website looks amateur next to your competitors. Your visual identity was put together in a hurry. Visitors leave your website without understanding what you do or how to reach you.
What we deliver
What your brand gets
A consistent visual identity
Logo, colours, typography, tone: we create or refine your identity so that it is recognisable and professional.
Clear screens
What people see first, what they read next, where they click: each screen is designed for the action you expect from the visitor.
A reusable design system
We deliver documented components your team can reuse indefinitely, without depending on us for every update.
User testing
We check interfaces with real people before delivery. What is obvious to the designer is not always obvious to the user.
Before drawing
What Lumbe asks before drawing
Lumbe does not start with sketches. He starts with your customers: who they are, what they buy from you, and where they would go otherwise. A logo for a neighbourhood bakery is not judged like a consulting firm's. Both must inspire trust, but not with the same shapes or the same colours.
Then he asks where your logo will live. A shop sign, packaging, an Instagram profile picture the size of a fingernail, a browser tab. A highly detailed logo can look superb on a poster and be unreadable when small. So we check with you where it has to stay legible, before choosing a direction.
Finally, he looks at what your competitors do, in France and in Belgium, where he is based. He spots the codes your whole sector uses, the ones worth keeping and the ones to move away from. The goal is simple: nobody mistakes you for anyone else, on your street or in a news feed.
Visual identity
A logo alone or a full identity
A logo and its mini brand guide, from €1,500, are enough to start. You leave with the logo in its useful versions, your colours and your typefaces. That is enough for a business card, a website and social media profiles that all match. Many businesses need nothing more in their first years.
A full visual identity, between €3,500 and €7,000, goes further. It includes the logo, the brand guidelines and mock-ups of your materials. We recommend it when several people produce content for you. The guidelines save them from improvising, and your brand stays the same whoever made the piece.
Branding is judged over time. A good logo is still recognisable five years on, even when design trends have changed around it. So Lumbe prefers a simple, solid shape to a passing effect. If your current logo already means something to your customers, he can also modernise it without starting from scratch.
Design to code
When the designer works with the devs
With us, the person who designs your screens works every day with the people who code them. Lumbe designs the website or app interfaces, William and Guillaume develop them. Questions get settled the same day, without files going back and forth between two separate teams.
Lumbe also runs the Meta Ads campaigns the team manages. So your identity does not stop at the website: the Facebook and Instagram ads are designed to the same brand guidelines, by the same person. Your customers recognise the brand from the first visual to the checkout page. That continuity reassures, especially when people buy from a brand they are discovering.
The source files are handed over at the end of the project, with the rights to the logo. You can give them to anyone you like afterwards: a printer, a developer or another designer.
The method
How a brand identity gets designed
Brief and benchmark
We learn about your market, your customers and your goals. We look at what your competitors do, and what the best in your sector do.
Wireframes
We structure the information and the user journeys before working on style. Form follows function.
High-fidelity design
We refine the mock-ups until they are ready to be built, or to be presented to your team.
Delivery and handover
Organised Figma files, exported design tokens, a usage guide. Your developers, or you, can take it from there.

Questions
Branding and design questions
How much does a logo cost?
A logo and its mini brand guide start at €1,500: the logo in its useful versions, your colours and your typefaces. The fixed price follows the call, in writing.
What are brand guidelines?
The document that says how to use your brand: the logo and its versions, the colours, the typefaces, the minimum sizes, what not to do. It stops everyone who produces a visual for you from improvising, and your brand stays recognisable from one medium to the next.
How much do brand guidelines cost?
A full visual identity, with the logo, the brand guidelines and mock-ups of your materials, is between €3,500 and €7,000. The source files are handed over at the end, with the rights to the logo.
Can I design my logo myself?
Yes: Canva or an AI generator will produce one in a few minutes, and sometimes that is enough to test an idea. Their limits come down to three things: logos similar to thousands of others, rarely designed to stay readable when very small, and rights that are not always clear. A logo designed for you starts from your customers and your competitors.
How long does a full redesign take?
Allow 3 to 6 weeks for a website redesign including wireframes, design and revisions. A visual identity alone takes 2 to 3 weeks.
Do you also do the development?
Yes. William and Guillaume develop what Lumbe designs, if you need it, but it is not required: the files are handed over to you either way.
