Service · Mobile app development
Mobile apps your customers keep.
We design and develop iOS and Android apps from a single codebase, plus the backend and the website that go with them. William develops it, Lumbe designs the screens, and we handle submission to the App Store and Google Play.
You test the app on your own phone at every stage, not only at the end.

Context
What an app is for
An app costs more than a website, so it has to serve a precise purpose: booking, ordering, tracking, coming back. We start from that purpose. We build the smallest version that serves it, and add the rest once it runs.
What we hear
What app founders tell us
You have an app idea and three quotes that have nothing in common. Nobody told you what to build first. Your provider talks about technologies instead of your users.
What we deliver
What your app gets
One codebase, two stores
iOS and Android share the same code. You pay for one app, not two, and every update goes to both stores at once.
The backend and the website too
Accounts, payments, notifications, admin interface: we also build what makes the app run, and the website that presents it.
Tested on your phone
You install test versions on your own phone during development. You judge the real thing, not an on-screen demo.
You own the code
Code, developer accounts and access are in your name. You can change provider without starting from zero.
First version
What goes into the first version
Every app starts with a list that is too long. Accounts, messaging, payments, notifications, sharing, offline mode: everything looks essential on day one. We go through that list with you, line by line. For each item, we ask whether a user will need it in their first week.
The first version keeps what serves the app's reason to exist, and nothing else. The rest is not dropped: it waits until real users ask for it, and it will be better designed then. That is also how a first version stays within budget, from €15,000. A full app is more likely between €30,000 and €60,000.
For StreetFoot, we built the iOS and Android app and the website that presents it. Its new version is coming soon to the stores. For Renard des Surfaces, we handled everything from start to finish, including the social media that goes with the app.
One codebase
iOS and Android, one codebase
We build an iOS and Android app from a single codebase, with the technology that best fits the project and its needs. Screens, logic and server calls are written once. Every fix goes to both systems at the same time.
Some features sit very close to the phone: Bluetooth, sensors, contactless payment. They sometimes need code specific to each system, so more time. We spot them during scoping, so they are priced from the start.
William develops the app and the backend that runs it. Lumbe designs the screens to match your brand, thinking of the thumb rather than the mouse: buttons within reach, text readable in full sun. Guillaume steps in when the app needs 3D or game mechanics, a field he knows from video game development. They work on the same project, and you do not have to connect them.
After the stores
Life after release
A published app is never quite finished. Apple and Google review every version before putting it online, and sometimes reject it over a listing detail or a poorly justified permission. We prepare the listings carefully, screenshots and text included. And we handle the back-and-forth with both stores until approval.
Every year, iOS and Android release a new version. An app that is never updated ends up displaying badly, then dropping in store search. We tell you in advance what those updates will require, so you can plan for them. App maintenance starts at €150 a month.
Then we measure what people actually do in the app: the screens they open, the ones they leave straight away, the features nobody touches. Usage analytics are installed at release. The second version is decided on those numbers. It is the one that turns a downloaded app into an app people keep on their home screen.
The method
How a mobile app gets built
Scoping
We list what users must be able to do, and keep only what serves the first version.
Clickable mock-ups
You go through the screens on your phone before a line of code is written. It is the cheapest moment to change your mind.
Development in stages
Regular test versions that you install and comment on. You watch the app grow instead of discovering it at the end.
Release and follow-up
We prepare the App Store and Google Play listings, submit the app, then fix what the first users report.

Questions
Mobile app development questions
How much does a mobile app cost?
A first iOS and Android version starts at €15,000. A full app, with backend, accounts and payments, is between €30,000 and €60,000. Maintenance starts at €150 a month. The fixed price follows the call, in writing.
How do I choose a mobile app development company?
Four checks are enough. Live projects you can open yourself. The name of the person who will do the work. A price and a scope in writing before you sign. And who will own the code and the developer accounts at the end: with us, you do.
How do you build a mobile app?
In four steps. First we cut the feature list down to what will be used in the first week. Lumbe designs the screens, then we develop the iOS and Android app from one codebase, with the backend that runs it. Finally we release it: Apple and Google review every version before it goes live, and we handle those exchanges until approval.
Native or cross-platform: which should I choose?
For most projects, a single codebase for iOS and Android is enough: every fix goes to both systems at once. Some features very close to the phone, such as Bluetooth or certain sensors, need code specific to each system. We spot them during scoping, so they are priced from the start.
How long does it take to build an app?
It depends on the number of screens and the services to connect: payments, accounts, notifications. The timeline is written in the proposal, stage by stage, before we start.
Is an app worth it?
It depends on how often your customers come back. An app costs more than a website and makes sense when it is opened often: regular orders, tracking, bookings. If your customers visit once a year, a fast mobile website will do the same job for less, and we will tell you so.
Can you take over an existing app?
Yes, after a code audit. We tell you whether it is better to evolve it or rebuild it, and why.
